JP Peters is the senior manager of social and community impact for Nike’s Global Americas region, where he leads community investment and government affairs strategies expanding access to sport and movement for young people in under-resourced communities. He has directed partnerships with more than 40 community-based organizations, helping more than 25,000 young people participate in sport, while overseeing multi-year investments in youth development, public-private partnerships, and community infrastructure across Chicago and St. Louis. Previously, JP served as a Missouri State Representative, where he passed policies focused on health and human services, secured $2.5M in appropriations for Lincoln University land grants, and helped shape workforce development and education policy through bipartisan coalition building. He also served in the U.S. Department of Education in 2013, working on higher education transparency and HBCU funding initiatives.
