Angelica Salinas is the commissioner of Routt County, where she works to expand civic engagement and create leadership pathways that better reflect rural and working-class communities. She oversees strategic governance, policy development, and constituent services across a rural-resort county of 25,000 residents, including management of a $135M county budget. Through her public service, Angelica focuses on demystifying local government, encouraging residents to serve on boards and commissions, and ensuring working-class realities are reflected in local policy decisions. Recently, she helped lead the allocation of $120,000 in emergency reserves to provide immediate food assistance to local families.
