We’re not planning your standard ribbon cutting. The opening of the Obama Presidential Center will be a celebration of the power of ordinary people coming together to do extraordinary things. From our next door neighbors to our community online, we invite you to celebrate this milestone through a week of moments designed to inspire action on campus and across the world.

  • June 18, 2026

    Livestream the Grand Opening Ceremony marking the official unveiling of the Center. Feel the thrill of legendary performances by global icons and powerful remarks from today’s most prominent voices and leaders.

  • June 19, 2026

    The Obama Presidential Center Museum opens to the public. General public tickets will go on sale in May 2026.

  • June 20-21, 2026

    A free, open-house style weekend with live performances, family-friendly activities, food, art, and storytelling across campus.

    Some experiences will have limited capacity, and details will be shared as plans are finalized—but the spirit is simple: come as you are, and be part of the beginning.
