President Obama and Youth at MBK Rising!

Celebrating Ten Years of My Brother’s Keeper

Ten years ago, in response to Trayvon Martin's tragic death, President Obama started My Brother's Keeper to address opportunity gaps that exist for boys and young men of color. The program aims to ensure young men have clear pathways to reach their maximum potential. Today, our work is embedded in over 100 MBK Communities, impacting thousands of young men of color from Chicago to Omaha.

Take a look back at some of our most memorable moments during a decade of impact in action.

“When we create population-level impact across our six key life milestones, our boys will be equipped with the tools necessary to thrive. Our young men deserve to live a life overflowing with fulfillment and joy. Our work at the MBK Alliance is in service of helping them achieve such a life.”
