Ihssane Iraqi is the founder and elected president of the Federation of Student Organizations and Young Workers (FOEJA), an organization that seeks to build the capacity of young people in Morocco, with an emphasis on the inclusion of those who are not working, enrolled in schools, or participating in training programs. Ihssane leads interventions to help young people build a support network while equipping them with skills to enable socio economic inclusion. Since its inception, FOEJA reached out to over 50,000 young people in Morocco. Ihssane is also a program manager for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Program, where she runs various programs like capacity building for women entrepreneurs in remote regions in Morocco. As an Arab Muslim woman, Ihsanne has overcome sociocultural barriers and deems her highest accomplishment as being able to freely be herself.
