Ways to support women and girls in Afghanistan

The dangers that women and girls are facing in Afghanistan are heartbreaking. Since June, more than 120,000 children have been displaced by the conflict, and women and girls are especially vulnerable during this current urgent moment. Through our work with the Girls Opportunity Alliance, we are committed to educating and empowering girls and young women around the world.

  • CARE

    For 75 years, CARE has worked to address global poverty with a special focus on women and girls. Its is working to reach 500,000 vulnerable Afghans with emergency food, health services, shelter, and support for refugees.

  • Women for Women International

    Since 1993, Women for Women International has invested in the power of over 500,000 women impacted by war and conflict and helped them to rebuild their families and communities. Its Emergency Fund for Afghanistan will match your donation up to $500,000.

  • Save the Children

    Save the Children champions the rights of the world's 2.3 billion children. In the past year, it reached 602,000 girls and boys in Afghanistan and is focused on providing emergency aid to displaced families.
