Hurricane Maria relief: how you can help

Puerto Rico has been without power since Hurricane Maria struck on September 20th, the most devastating storm to hit the island in a century. As recovery efforts continue in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey and Irma, our nation is once again coming together to aid those affected in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

President Obama and the four other living former presidents have extended their Hurricane Harvey relief fund, One America Appeal, to include Hurricane Maria relief efforts, and there are many other ways for you to contribute as well. Here are just a few of the organizations aiding Puerto Ricans in the wake of this storm that need your support:

One America Appeal

One America Appeal (Opens in a new tab), an effort started by all five living former presidents to help citizens recover and rebuild from hurricane devastation, is now being extended to those affected in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

United for Puerto Rico

Spearheaded by the First Lady of Puerto Rico, Beatriz Rosselló, in collaboration with the private sector,  this fund (Opens in a new tab) will provide aid and support to those affected in Puerto Rico by Hurricane Irma and Hurricane María.

UNICEF USA

UNICEF USA (Opens in a new tab) is mobilizing to get immediate, critical support to the children of Puerto Rico affected by Hurricane Maria.
