MBK New York City
MBK New York City accepted the MBK Community Challenge to improve the lives of boys and young men of color (BYMOC) in 2014. MBK NYC is anchored in the NYC Young Men’s Initiative (YMI), a public-private partnership launched in 2011. YMI seeks to improve the lives of and address increasing disparities among BYMOC between the ages of 16 and 24 in education, employment, health, and justice. Their mission is to develop and champion policies, programs, and partnerships that holistically support the success of BYMOC throughout NYC. In 2018, MBK NYC was selected as an MBK Community to Watch and is focused on all six MBK milestones.
