April S. Love is a policy analyst for the Socially Disadvantaged Farmers and Ranchers Policy Research Center at Alcorn State University. In her role, she reviews agricultural policies and regulations to determine their impact on socially disadvantaged farmers and ranchers and then develops policy recommendations that will improve the success of historically marginalized farmers and ranchers. She began her career in public policy, government relations, and advocacy. She is a champion for agricultural reform, particularly with rural, minority farmers and worked to create alliances across traditional views in the agriculture sector.
