Dr. Kim Lanoy-Sandoval is the deputy director of Future Focused Education, a nonprofit that works to create positive pathways for young people to become change agents in their communities by supporting New Mexico with local graduate profiles, capstones, authentic assessments, work-based learning, and social-emotional well-being integration. Kim leads the co-creation, planning, and implementation of the organization's statewide growth strategy and oversees key initiatives to embrace community assets to redefine learning. She also leads the organization's financial viability beyond the day-to-day accounting and budget responsibilities. As a mom, educator, and member of the Navajo Nation, Kim is passionate about creating educational landscapes that value and honor diverse students, families, educators, and local communities.
