Philippe Birker is the co-founder and COO of Climate Farmers, a nonprofit organization that helps people reconnect with the ecosystem and scale regenerative agriculture across Europe. Under Philippe’s leadership, Climate Farmers has built a large peer-to-peer learning community of regenerative farmers in Europe and developed a verified methodology for farmers transitioning to regenerative agriculture to generate income through carbon credits. His organization trains young farmers and agronomists across Europe in collaboration with agricultural universities in Ukraine, Poland, Portugal, Germany, the Netherlands, and Slovakia. Climate Farmers has also established a European Agrifood Systems Change Consortium to transform the European food system from an extractive to a regenerative model.
