Bára Stárek is the chairwoman of Díky, že můžem—meaning “Thanks to you, we can.” The organization is dedicated to the belief that every individual should live freely within a democratic framework. In her role, Bára focuses on strategic planning and partners with vocational high schools and training institutes to empower students and engage young people in discussions about human rights, freedom, and democracy. Prior to this work, Bára served as an advisor to the councilor for education, sports, science, and business support at the Prague City Hall and to the councilor of culture in Prague. Bára is committed to bridging the gaps between young people and decision-makers in business and politics and believes that mutual understanding between the two groups is essential for safeguarding democratic principles.
