Sylvester Weekes is the founder and executive director of the Weekes Foundation, an organization that raises awareness about sexual and reproductive health and rights among girls aged 15-19 and equips them with educational tools and information to combat the systemic issue of adolescent pregnancy in Sierra Leone. As a gender equality advocate who seeks to empower and promote transformative leadership among girls and young women from underserved backgrounds to meet the urgent need for more African women in leadership positions, Sylvester aims to empower 300,000 women by 2030 to achieve gender equality in Freetown, Sierra Leone.
