Susan Mbalu is the global communications coordinator at CLEAR Global (formerly Translators without Borders), a non-profit organization that helps individuals obtain critical information and be heard in their own languages. CLEAR Global shares information about public health, women’s reproductive health and rights, climate change, and forced displacement across the continent through machine translation, automatic speech recognition, and conversational AI. Susan promotes CLEAR Global’s work by working with partners such as global technologists and information access activists to increase awareness of the digital language divide.
