Karen Mukwasi is Co-Founder and Director of The Pada Platform, a nonprofit that works with young women and girls to foster digital inclusion and create safe spaces for them. Karen believes that girls need a space to learn, engage, innovate, network, and create in order to claim their place in the development of Africa. Karen is also a filmmaker and women's rights activist. She is passionate about telling women's stories that defy stereotypes. Her heroine is filmmaker Ava DuVernay.
