Brahim Ali Abakar is a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist who has been working to fight against food and nutritional insecurity in the Sahel region of Africa for the last six years. He believes that despite the rich contributions of international partners, Africa's food self-sufficiency requires a common agricultural development policy, supported by African states. His civic hero is Gandhi.
