Anne Waruguru Kiai is the Founder of Africa Rising Solutions, a social justice advocacy initiative in central Kenya. She engages the community at the ward-level in capacity building programs on leadership and good governance, advocacy against gender-based violence, and practical approaches to youth and women empowerment. She also serves as a Youth Governor in Nyeri County and as Director of the Youth Agenda Board. In these capacities, Anne works with visionary teams on the participatory development of youth policies and plans. Her civic hero is Wangari Maathai.
