Ulala Kondowe

Ulala is a 2017 Mandela Washington Fellow and the founder and executive director of Girls Network Malawi. This is an organization that focuses on keeping girls in school by addressing the challenges they face in acquiring education. She establishes girls clubs in primary and secondary schools where they are provided mentorship, counseling, career guidance, sexual and reproductive health education, and menstrual hygiene management. Ulala also works with the parents or guardians of these girls to ensure they understand the benefits of keeping girls in school. Her team is currently working with 420 girls from 6 schools.
