Rufaro is a proud citizen of Southern Africa. She is passionate about working with others to achieve social change and creating environments that allow people to define and achieve success and create a better future for themselves, their communities, and their countries. Rufaro has channeled this passion into youth leadership development, as she believes that empowering youth in Africa is essential to building an engaged citizenry that can hold governments and policies accountable to the people. Currently, Rufaro works as the CEO of Enke: Make Your Mark, a youth leadership development organization that generates and incubates youth-led social impact in South Africa by capacitating youth toward social innovation, social cohesion, and social responsibility. Since 2009, enke has trained almost 3000 youth across South Africa, who have gone on to implement over 700 social impact and enterprise projects that have had a cumulative impact on over 51,000 people.
