Zimbabwe
Godfrey is the youngest Councillor in the history of Zimbabwe and Masvingo City. His major roles in the city include policy making, representation, and oversight. He chairs the Human Resources Portfolio Committee of Council. He is also the National Chairman of Youth Forum Zimbabwe, which advocates for youth empowerment and participation in all civic issues. Godfrey is a 2017 Mandela Washington Fellow. His passion and goal is to see young people assuming positions of leadership in public offices; for he believes that anyone who is old enough to vote is also old enough to run for public office, hence 'Not too young to run'.
