Obama Foundation Launches New Career Page and Internship Application, Announces Stacey D. Mitchell as Director of People

Chicago, IL — Today, the Obama Foundation launched a new opportunities page on Obama.org and announced Stacey D. Mitchell as the new Director of People. As Director of People, Stacey will be charged with attracting, engaging, and retaining exceptional and diverse talent for the Obama Foundation and building a culture that allows it to reach its goals.
The new career page can be accessed HERE. The page will be updated regularly as new job openings become available. In addition to applying for specific openings, individuals can submit their resume for future opportunities.
Starting today, the Obama Foundation will also begin accepting applications for its summer 2018 internship program. The internship is open to current undergraduate and graduate students who are eligible to work in the United States. The application will close on February 12, 2018 at 5:00pm CT. Prior to joining the Obama Foundation, Stacey was the Vice President for People & Equity at Educators for Excellence. In this role, she led the team that attracted, developed, and retained a diverse and exceptional staff through leading organizational talent management, leadership development, HR administration, and diversity, equity, and inclusiveness. Before that, Stacey was the Senior Managing Director of Staff Diversity, Equity & Inclusiveness at Teach For America. Stacey has over ten years of experience in improving staff experience. She received a B.A. in English from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Stacey was born and raised on Chicago’s South Side.

Lakeside Alliance, the new joint venture that will serve as construction manager for the Obama Presidential Center, will have information about job opportunities for the construction of the OPC at a later date.
