Brandon Woodard is a community organizer, nonprofit leader, and lifelong Kansan recently elected to serve a fourth term in the Kansas House of Representatives. Brandon says he is known in Topeka for his ability to unite colleagues across the political spectrum and for being a powerful advocate for change.
Brandon serves as the Ranking Minority Member of the Elections Committee and the Higher Education Budget Committee and is also a member of the Insurance Committee and Appropriations Committee. In addition to his public service, Brandon leads the AIDS Service Foundation of Kansas City, a nonprofit focused on raising funds, hope, and awareness for the nearly 6,000 people living with HIV in the greater Kansas City community.
Woodard received his B.G.S. in political science from the University of Kansas in 2013. While at KU, his service as student body vice president sparked his interest in state government and public service.
