Michael Shipler

Vice President of Strategy 

Michael Shipler is the Vice President of Strategy at Search for Common Ground, a global peacebuilding organization and a nominee for the 2018 Nobel Peace Prize. He currently also serves as the acting CEO of Soliya, a subsidiary of Search for Common Ground and a global leader in virtual dialogue and exchange. With over 25 years of experience in the field, he has designed, managed, and scaled up effective and innovative programs that address complex and sensitive issues in conflict-affected countries all over the world. Michael previously served as Search's Asia Regional Director, where he led programming in eleven countries and offices. He has served as Director of Programs for SFCG’s Nepal office, where he co-founded and directed an initiative in support of the country’s peace process and was the founder of SFCG’s Children & Youth Division.
