Founding Executive Director of the Partnership on AI

Terah Lyons has spent her career working across sectors to align decisions made about AI technology development and deployment with the long-term health of society. In the Obama White House, she co-directed the White House’s Future of Artificial Intelligence Initiative, which framed the first domestic policy strategy on machine intelligence. Terah was the Founding Executive Director of the Partnership on AI, a global nonprofit initiative aimed at advancing the benefits and addressing the challenges of artificial intelligence founded by leading organizations in the technology industry, civil society, and academia. She continues to advise companies, governments and global leaders, universities, investors, and nonprofit organizations on responsible development and use of AI, technology policy, and the geopolitics of AI.
