Alfreda Bradley-Coar

Alfreda Bradley-Coar serves as Executive Vice President, Chief Legal and People Officer for the Obama Foundation. Alfreda is an accomplished corporate executive, business advisor and civic leader. She is a highly regarded, strategic thought leader known for her enterprise risk and strategy expertise in healthcare, insurance, financial services, and transportation industries.
Alfreda thrives in organizations undergoing dynamic and disruptive change and is a leader in strategy, legal, finance, regulatory matters, operational insights, and human capital management. She was the principal advisor for The Bradley Coar Enterprise Risk & Strategy Group,where she provided confidential C-Suite advisory services for emerging businesses. During her 23 years at General Electric (GE), Alfreda held senior executive, general counsel, and leadership roles in global legal and operations divisions with $2B - $125B annual revenues in over 100 countries. Over the course of her tenure at GE, she managed and transformed business and law departments including legal, compliance, regulatory, product and licensing. Alfreda was an architect of diversity and inclusion, change management and talent development initiatives, including being a National Operating Leader for the GE African American Forum.
Bradley-Coar is a long-time resident of Chicago and is actively involved in civic and community efforts as a Board Director for Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, and Chicago State University Foundation, and as a Strategy Advisor Committee Member to the CEO and Board of Advocate Aurora Health. She is a member of several national organizations including, Executive Leadership Council (ELC) and Black Directors Health Equity Agenda, Inc.
Alfreda earned an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management, her JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
